  Extremely disappointing customer service One of the worst customer service experiences I have had with a property booked through Booking.com. Due to an unexpected change in our travel schedule, we asked the property to make an exception and cancel our reservation with a refund, even though we were outside the standard cancellation period. Booking.com made it clear that the property had the possibility to authorize the refund as an exception. In other words, they had the ability to show some flexibility but simply chose not to. Of course, I understand that cancellation policies exist. What I find unacceptable is the complete lack of empathy, flexibility and professionalism in the way the situation was handled. After several polite attempts to find a reasonable solution, their final response was: “You can do your thing and we’ll do ours. Have a nice day.” That sentence tells you everything you need to know about their approach to customer service. They were entitled to refuse the refund, just as future guests are entitled to know how this property treats customers when something unexpected happens. I certainly would not book here again and cannot recommend this property. There are plenty of places where guests are treated with considerably more consideration and professionalism.
