  Avoid this property – we could not stay here

  We booked and paid in full for a 10-night stay. Unfortunately, the apartment we arrived at bore very little resemblance to the clean and tidy accommodation shown in the listing. We had a confirmed arrival time of 7–8pm, so there was no question of us arriving unexpectedly or before the property should have been ready. Our problems started before we even got into the apartment. We followed the check-in instructions provided in advance, but there was no answer on the intercom and no answer when we tried to call. We spent around 20 minutes repeatedly trying to gain access to the building. Fortunately, another resident eventually let us into the lobby. When we finally entered the apartment, it was immediately obvious that it had not been cleaned or prepared for new guests. The bed had not even been made. There were hairs and dirt in the bed, the duvet had been thrown on the floor of the wardrobe, dirty towels had been left behind, old food remained in the apartment and lights were not working. This was not a case of being overly particular about cleanliness. The accommodation simply had not been prepared for our arrival and, in our opinion, was not in an acceptable condition to sleep in. We remained in the apartment for approximately one hour while trying to resolve the situation, but did not stay the night or use the accommodation. To their credit, the owner did respond that evening and acknowledged in writing that the apartment had not been cleaned, telling us to check into a hotel and saying that the hotel cost would be reimbursed. They said they were unable to contact their cleaning company. The following day we were simply told that the apartment had now been cleaned and was ready for us to return. After what we had found the previous evening, however, we had completely lost confidence in the property and did not feel comfortable moving back in.   Very expensive for what is offered

  Location

  In general the apartment was dirty, toaster was very dirty, room walls were dirty, kitchen floor was dirty and bed sheets were also looking dirty.. even the sponge to wash dishes was disgusting. The week we traveled was hot and there was no AC and the available usb fan was not recharged and we did not have the same cable. The small table to put the fan was broken and we had to improvise. Courtains were damaged what made the light stronger in the room. The wardrobe had no hangers or available shelves to organize our stuff and there was no light in the bathroom, we had to keep the door opened when inside to get the light from the kitchen. The apartment is located in the car parking entrance, what makes the apartment extremely noisy in some specific hours. For the price we paid it was not worth it.

  Supposed a good apartment but unfortunately negatively impacted by mistake made by cleaning company amd inability to fix

  Location excellent, quite new

  One bedsheet and quilt cover missing (subsequently found out these were still wet in the washing machine), hair dryer missing and it took 2 days before these items were re supplied and I needed to keep calling and follow up with the cleaning company.

  I would only stay there again if I was by myself. It is not a place for 3 people.

  Great location. Easy to walk to the centre of Staines. There was adequate parking for our needs. The place was very secure.

  I didn't realise how small the apartment was. The sofa bed was broken, but the owner changed it after the first night. The new sofa bed was small and cheap. It also looked used. Most of the kitchenware in the drawers appears old and worn. In need of replacement.
