If they do this to Croatian guests, imagine what happens to foreigners who can't fight back.

Booked for New Year's Eve. Called ahead to confirm arrival time (within the stated check-in window). Was told the key would be in the lockbox. Upon arrival: no key. The apartment had been given to other guests without any notification. We were redirected to a substitute apartment: toilet not working, TV not working, worse location, no winter bedding — only thin summer sheets. When we objected, the host offered €30 or told us to leave. Only after we contacted Booking.com did he return the original apartment — three hours later. The original apartment required cleaning (because other guests had been placed there), causing further delay. When we finally entered late in the evening, the heating/air conditioning was barely functional. We asked for proper winter bedding; the host placed old towels inside the sheets as a substitute. We returned from New Year's celebrations at 2 AM to a freezing apartment and had to sleep in our clothes. Additional issues: stairways filthy with dust and trash, defective corkscrew provided broke and caused a hand injury, and the agency falsely claimed to Booking.com that we arrived "late" — we did not. This is not a case of minor inconveniences. The contracted accommodation was unavailable, the substitute was uninhabitable, and the eventual solution failed basic standards. Dubrovnik deserves better than this. Avoid.

Right in the action of the old town
Location and great communication with owners
Bed abit hard for me. Good amount of space and it was well equiped. Easy to get around and on tours etc. Loved our stay

1) se si aprono le finestre entra l'odore della ventilazione della cucina del ristorante. 2) durante la notte continui rumori, si dorme molto male.

Great value in the heart of Old Town
Location was excellent, right in the heart of Old Town. Had all the basics we were looking for - AC, kitchenette, shower with hot water, fridge, wifi, towels. Also had cutlery, dishes, pans, kettle, etc if you wanted to cook.
Room itself was quite dated, but it’s exactly what the photos suggest. Not “modern” by any means. Mattress was a little on the flimsy side. TV didn’t seem to work. The sink in the washroom leaked.
