  The place we stayed at, the area, and the people were exemplary.

  It was all good! We ate out at an outside kiosk. We could have made it at the property, but chose not to. We wanted an early start to see as much of the attractions as we could before getting our train.

  There are no shops in the area at all. You would need to travel to another place, Bath if you wanted to buy some milk. We were told this was a short train ride away, but still seemed too far just for a carton of milk.

  We really enjoyed our stay the property is within walking distance of loads of activities.

  Perfect location. Cosy, clean apartment that feels like home from home. Host is very warm, communicative and accommodating/flexible of requests to ensure a happy stay. I would book here again 100%! Parking no problem. Thank you

  It's always an absolute pleasure to stay at this beautiful apartment. We have stayed here a few times over the years and it never disappoints. The apartment is always really clean, comfortable and welcoming. The location is amazing. A short walk from the train station, the heights of Abraham, gullivers kingdom and there's a lovely Indian restaurant on the corner. The train to matlock is every hour and takes 3 minutes. Maureen is the most wonderful host. So helpful, friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay so much we were able to extend it by another night. It still didn't seem long enough though. We will definitely be back again

  Not the break we wanted.

  I love Matlock Bath and was excited to show my elderly parents this little gem in Derbyshire, I had not realised that the property was on a steep hill. The location was fine for myself but not my parents. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean and fresh. We had a problem with the TV and Maureen and Chris were very helpful and even put me in touch with a TV engineer who talked me through the process of resetting the TV. It seems someone had used a firestick which had messed up the process. Once sorted we were able to enjoy the cooking programme we wanted to watch. Very Helpful. Thank you

  The place felt very regimental with laminated signs with instruction on keeping the bathrooms clean and how to park, to use the heating sparingly, so many rules and regulations. I would not have minded this but the place was not spotless, in fact it was very grubby. I had to do some basic cleaning before we had even used anything. It did not create a relaxing setting. The lights in the en suite are dirty, the floors were sticky underfoot, there was lots of dust behind the bedside tale in the double room, with a hair bobble that had obviously been there some time. The most disappointing thing was there was a metal plate outside the front door. It moved when I drove my land rover into the small parking spot and the smell that came up from it was absolutely disgusting. I reversed my car and moved the plate only to discover there was a turd in the drain. I have proof and can send the photo's if need be. I also have pictures showing the state of the floors, the cleaning products, the notices, the very tight parking space etc.
