Very convenient for visiting all the attractions in York city centre by train or by car
A very convenient location for visiting all the sights of York city centre. It is right next to Marygate car park, and the Marygate entrance to the Museum Gardens, and only a short walk from the railway station once you know there is a direct footpath from the station car park to Marygate car park. The flat has a secure car parking space, and is ground floor for easy access. It seemed clean and nicely decorated. The mattress was comfortable and the power shower very pleasant. We had plenty of detailed instructions about check-in and check-out in advance.
There is a patio area but it is not actually private as it is at the front of the property rather than the back. The bedroom window opens directly onto a road. Although the road is fairly quiet, it doesn't feel very secure to leave the window open for air. If you turn the handle horizontally, the window opens like a door, but if you turn the handle vertically it swings open from the top so you can get a small opening for ventilation. Don't rely on the first aid kit - it needs replenishing. The freezer needs defrosting. Pillows - two are too much but one is too thin, but that is always the case when travelling! The kitchen was well kitted out, but the cupboard to store food was awkward to reach, and two bowls is not really enough for self-catering - could do with two more.

Sehr gut ausgestattete und auffallend saubere Wohnung mit einer guten Atmosphäre. Sehr nah zum Bahnhof, dem Fluss und der Innenstadt und gleichzeitig sehr ruhig, da in einer gated community gelegen. An der Sitzfläche draußen gehen keine Leute vorbei. Die Nachbarn sind sehr freundlich, die in drei Bewertungen beschriebene Lautstärke von oben, haben wir nicht erlebt. Es war sehr ruhig und es war eine der saubersten Wohnungen, in denen wir auf Reisen waren. Es gab mehrere sehr nette Kontakte mit der Hausverwaltung.
Vom Wohnzimmer aus gibt es keine Terrassentür nach draußen zu dem Tisch, man muss durch den Hausflur gehen. Aber man kann damit gut leben, da das Fenster sich sehr weit öffnen lässt und man Essen und Getränke nach draußen reichen kann.
