  Please be Careful – An Experience Other Travellers Should be Aware Of

  We stayed in a room in this apartment from 4 to 7 October. However, on 17 October, we received a notification from Booking informing us that the host was requesting a payment of 317,20 €, claiming that we had damaged a tub water tap. This accusation is completely false. We did not damage the tap, and we strongly disagree with being held responsible for something we did not do. During our stay, the host presented herself as friendly and attentive. We even exchanged WhatsApp messages, so, it’s strange why she didn’t contact us directly. We visited Palermo as tourists and spent very little time in the apartment, essentially returning only to sleep. We were there for just three nights. Nevertheless, the host entered our room without informing us beforehand, apparently to clean it, and moved some of our personal belongings. This made us feel uncomfortable. Interestingly, the balcony was never properly cleaned during our stay. There were even leftover chips from a previous guest. We chose not to complain at the time because our purpose was to enjoy our visit to Palermo, not to spend our holiday raising complaints about the accommodation. However, being accused of damaging a tap that we did not damage is completely unacceptable. Also, the timing raises questions and makes the situation even more concerning. We cannot help but wonder whether this claim is an attempt to obtain money from guests unfairly our to activate a insurance! Furthermore, we were told that the tourist tax had to be paid in cash, but we were never given a receipt for the payment. I am sharing this experience because I believe other travellers should be aware of what happened to us. We fulfilled our booking in good faith and left the accommodation without making any accusations or demands. Please be cautious, keep records of all communications and payments, and document the condition of the accommodation during your stay.

  Punti di forza sicuramente accoglienza e pulizia. Da migliorare la colazione poco varia ma comunque buona.

  Ho dovuto attendere circa 40 minuti per un check in. Per poi sentirmi dire che dovevo recarmi in un’altra parte dove si sarebbe svolto un self check in e tristemente scoprire che la struttura e la stanza erano totalmente diverse da quella prenotata, molto più piccola e senza colazione. A quanto pare la lunga attesa era dovuto alla loro prenotazione in un’altra struttura dove ho ricevuto una camera basic quando avevo pagato per una suite.. incommentabile
