The apartment was lovely, In a great location within walking distance of all the local shops and attractions. With a fantastic view of York Minster.
Their was a lot of noise late at night and early in the morning from the bars in the street. Bottles being recycled by the bars and collected early the next morning was a little annoying. Nothing to do with the accommodation at all.

Location Location Location!
The location of this flat is absolutely fantastic! The ability to walk to everything is magic!! We were able to go out most mornings with a cup of tea and sit on the benches opposite York Minster and enjoy the cool breeze and the sights & sounds of the city coming to life. Just wonderful! Bennett's Cafe is literally right diagonal from the flat!
It was rather hot and stuffy in the unit. There is only heating. Naturally I don't imagine this is any issue during the colder months... but it was rather unpleasant during the summer. There were 2 fans that certainly helped. But none of the upper floor windows open to allow for airflow... that made it rather uncomfortable... also, with he sleeping area on the loft above, the warm air from the showers and kitchen below collects upstairs. This could be remedied with a couple freestanding AC units perhaps? That's really the only issue. We would certainly still recommend AND stay again! (^_^)

Terrible!
The proximity to the city centre. Comfortable bed.
Days after booking( non refundable) I was told about scaffolding on the property. I was therefore unable to cancel. There was a bag of rubbish on the step when we arrived (Friday)it was still there Sunday evening. The companies office is a short distance from the property, surely someone should come and remove the rubbish? We had to step over it all the time. Dirty cutlery in the drawer, only 2 knives provided, a cracked mug and cob webs. If you like your sleep I advise not staying here as it is next door to a very loud bar which has live singing, open late. There is another public house the other side which is extremely loud too. My main criticism is that for 2 guests staying 3 nights we were left 1 bath and 1 hand towel each. When I requested more I was told there is a fee for more clean towels!! Which in my opinion is disgraceful. Minimal tea left and 4 small sachets of milk. We will not be staying again.
