Nice and comfortable house in very pleasant location with lovely view; car necessary, but supplies and sights within eas
Well located in a pleasant village; lovely view; well equipped kitchen with very efficient washing machine, dishwasher, stove, microwave and crockery and other appliances and other rooms generally nicely done; good hot water; good light through large windows; efficient check-in and check-out procedure and property managers responsive to requests for assistance.
Bins out the front (because the property opens directly on a street) in front of windows; some guidance on parking would have been useful; steep stairs with tricky step at top; a few minor maintenance issues.

Avoid
The location was good.
We booked this accommodation mainly because it had a garden, and with the weather forecast looking nice, we thought it would be perfect for our toddler. Unfortunately, the garden was completely overgrown and full of weeds and nettles (see attached photo), so we were unable to use it at all. The house itself also felt quite worn and neglected, and there was a strong smell of egg coming from the bathroom throughout our stay. When we contacted the company, they were apologetic but said they were unable to get anyone out during our stay, which was very disappointing. Sadly, on our final night there was a power cut in the village. Obviously this wasn’t the company’s fault, but we were left in complete darkness with low phone batteries. When I messaged to ask whether there were any torches available, I was told there weren’t any and was advised not to use my phone. If you’re providing accommodation, basic emergency provisions like torches should really be available. We’ve since contacted them regarding a refund but now seem to be being ignored, despite receiving emails asking us to leave a positive review. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Relaxing stay in Hett
Great location and beautiful views across the fields. Lots of hot water and a nice garden
Nothing but a hairdryer and shower mat would be a nice addition.
