    Very comfortable and friendly welcoming staff

    Good location , beautiful building and decor.

    Lot of stairs to our top floor room but this is not a complaint , we booked at short notice and as a Grade II listed building there is no lift … all understandable and did not spoil our stay.

    Boutique hotel in quiet location

    Easy to find, accessible,quiet, friendly staff,🥰 excellent breakfast, gorgeous garden. I had a broken ankle and was made to feel most welcome.

    Wasn't anything I didn't like.

    Overpriced hotel with old glass windows , freezing room and unbearable noise

    The building itself is beautiful and the location is very central

    the rooms desperately need renovation. I stayed in Room 9, facing the street, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The windows are very old and do not close properly, leaving the room cold and offering virtually no sound insulation. During the few hours I spent there, I had to ask twice for the heating to be switched on. The traffic noise is unbearable, and it genuinely feels as though you are sleeping on the street. The hotel provides earplugs on the bedside table, but they make very little difference, as you can still hear everything. I checked in at 3 pm and had to leave at 8 pm because it was simply impossible to spend the night there. They also refused to refund what i paid for the night, when i left the hotel
