    Disappointed with the cleanliness and communication with host.

    The location is right beside downtown Des Moines. Easy access to all important parts of city.

    The property was dirty. Carpet covered in burns, stains, hair. Spiders and dirt in shower/tub. Water leaking from ceiling with mold, curtains stiff, crusty, and stuck together, mouse traps left out in open, smoke detector laying on ground instead of installed, no trash bags in any container. Very expensive security deposit for state of location. I asked the host about the security deposit refund policy and host gave incorrect, different information than what the property details described on listing. I think the host may have neglected to clean property because they were unhappy with our text exchange.

    Comfy but tired property

    Space, washing facilities, parking

    Very basic in terms of cutlery, comfortable seating, towels. No light on upstairs landing was a problem in the dark. Bulbs out elsewhere; needs refurbishing. Glitter confetti ??? Having said that, as a couple we had enough cutlery and seating, but are grateful we weren’t travelling with others.

    Really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely book this place again.

    Very clean and cozy!

    Minor fixes that need to happen, such as a closet door that was off just to the side. Loose screws in the towel hanger in the bathroom upstairs. Light fixtures need soon upgrading. But overall it exceeded my expectations.
