  Overall, great design and location, but the experience was underwhelming due to cleanliness issues,

  The location and furnishing and basic facilities provided were good.

  Our stay was disappointing overall. While the furnishings, design, and location of the property were great, the overall experience was underwhelming. The property was booked for family, so it was important that our guests could stay comfortably. Unfortunately, cleanliness was below expectations. We found several small cockroaches/insect near kitchen sink and a number number of areas of the property, which gave the impression that the room had not been properly cleaned or had been left unattended for some time. We also experienced issues with the air conditioning, which was not working properly. Resolving this required many back-and-forth messages and repeated follow-ups, and it was not fixed within the promised timeframe. We were later told we would need to wait even longer. Communication with the owner was also frustrating, and at times we felt the manner of communication was rude and unwelcoming. We had to make contact during certain hours because our guests were arriving early in the morning and the issues were urgent, but the owner was unhappy about being contacted. We were also told that this was a serviced apartment and not a hotel, even though we were not expecting hotel-style service — only the basic essentials to be working. When we mentioned that we may need to raise the matter with Booking.com, we were told that we could terminate our stay and leave immediately if we wished, which was disappointing and did not feel welcoming. We are not providing this feedback simply to be negative, but because we would not want future guests to experience the same issues. We would also recommend that Booking.com ensure properties meet a basic condition and maintenance standard before being made available to guests. This experience added unnecessary stress for me, especially as I was travelling to attend my wedding. While some issues were eventually addressed, there is clear room for improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, responsiveness, and overall guest service.
