    Beautiful castle view and house

    The property is a beautiful 4 storey house, looking over toward Lancaster castle. We used the property as a pit stop on a long journey with our three children. Brian was very friendly and helpful when contacted over messages. Lots of little extras that make life easier - a pint of milk in the fridge: coffee, sugar, tea and even toiletries

    Not a criticism just a suggestion that maybe you could make a small basket of ladies sanitary items in the bathroom

    The location is great

    Upon arrival I discovered the place hadn't been cleaned even though I arrived after my check-in time which was 15.00. and the stairs leading to the kitchen smelled of dog urine. At which point I left the property and contacted the owner informed him of the situation. And his response was not very polite.ugh I'll chase the cleaners was his exact reply.some time after that I received a second message saying that the cleaners are on there way and I have to tell them what my issues was so they could sort it.i informed the owner that I already left the property previously and it's unacceptable and requested a partial refund at which point I was blatantly ignored until 11.26 pm apart from one message informing me that he is driving so couldn't answer the phone.oh and there's moldey tea bags beside the kettle if you are feeling suicidal and want to probably die if you make a brew.the back yard if it's worth calling that can't and hasn't been used for anything much more than a place to dump rubbish. So if you're looking for a clean place to stay I would steer clear of the place.and don't expect a refund if you encounter the same shower of customers service I did (the owner).......

    The location was amazing. I loved looking out the window to the castle.

    There were a lot of stairs, which was only tiring because we were pretty far into a long family vacation, but that was probably good for us.
