  Nice little cottage sadly let down by lack of proper maintenance.

  Very cute 1 bedroom cottage, well appointed with 2?? Fridges. Sweet little garden. Comfy bed.

  1. Maintenance. Dangerous items in garden - a) unfixed and oversized coping stone which was balanced on a low wall - could easily be dislodged and cause injury. b)Back fence next to shed is on raised unstable ground which is falling away ( identified by neighbour)- needs to be made safe for children or animals. c)Door into garden jams - I hurt my hand trying to get it to open. d)Gate post to front entrance gate is rotten on left hand side from the road and about to break so open the gate really carefully!! e)basin in bathroom was not draining - very clogged up just inside the plug - I asked the agents to unblock it but this had not been done before we left the property. 2. Cleaning was not great - stain on floor in sitting room which was trying to be masked by a table placed over it. Cotton wool buds underneath bed had not been cleaned up from last guests and there was a used bud outside the front door. Shower was not completely clean and windows needed washing too! Dirty knife in cutlery drawer. Only one wine glass in cupboard ( replacements were delivered next day). 3. Wiring to hob and oven has been incorrectly installed to the switches - don’t know if this was actually dangerous but certainly should be rectified by a competent electrician. We did not use the hob. 4. Bin instructions provided are incorrect according to neighbour. Bin is located right next to the front door which is not a very pleasant smell- we would re-locate this to the fence line of the front garden and put a wicker hurdle in front to disguise the view. 5. Only cheap ground coffee and old cafetière left for us to use - NO Nespresso machine!!!

  Very pleasant

  Great village location. Good WiFi and Smart TV. Large double bed and strong shower.

  Mattress kept moving off the slotted base. Shower only got warm - dial not increasing temperature. Filter in shower base was loose, not fitting. No useable coffee or tea or sugar in their pots - old and hard. Back garden was untidy and not v inviting.
