Perfect for large family short stay
Stayed for our daughters graduation was perfect for a large family gathering in a great spot with local shops within walking distance and a pub perfect for what we wanted . Linen was crisp and clean , this is a big property with plenty of parking and was perfect for a 2 night short stay
Could do with more mirrors and better light bulbs but given the size of the house you laid be hard pressed to find anything else in the area for large gatherings it’s perfect for this if you over look the minor flaws was great .

Disappointing
Walking distance to shops. Close city centre.
We were really disappointed with our stay. The property itself has a lot of potential and is in a great location, within easy walking distance of shops and the city centre. It could be a lovely place to stay if it were properly maintained. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn’t good. The bins at the front of the property were overflowing, and the front garden was full of overgrown grass, making it look as though the house hadn’t been prepared for arriving guests. Inside, the biggest concern was an electrical socket that was coming away from the wall. We were travelling with children, including a curious toddler, so this was a genuine safety issue that should have been addressed before guests arrived. The house also didn’t feel clean. It wasn’t just one area—it gave the impression that it hadn’t been properly deep cleaned or thoroughly prepared between stays. We contacted the property as soon as we arrived, and to their credit they responded by sending someone the following day. The grass was mowed while we were there, and the barbecue was cleaned after we pointed out that it was dirty and wanted to use it. While we appreciated the response, these are things that should have been taken care of before guests checked in. Overall, the house has great potential and the location is excellent, but the lack of maintenance, cleanliness and attention to detail made for a disappointing experience. I hope the owners invest more effort into the upkeep of the property, as it could be a fantastic place to stay.
