    Lovely peaceful stay in a great town and everything we could possibly want or need in the property.

    The location is brilliant for the town, which has lots of amenities. The house was full of small kind touches and there was every possible thing you might need down to often very small thoughtful things. The owner was on hand should we have need anything. The garden was very nice especially when it got the sun in the mornings.

    It didn't bother us but and it wasnt a problem but the property is on three floors and the stairs are a little bit narrow and steep. The TV is quite small and needs manual operation but again not a problem - plenty of DVDs available (which we didn't use). It was a hand shower fitting on the bath, not a conventional shower, but we managed fine and there was always plenty of hot water.

    Great, well equipped, clean house with a lovely courtyard garden. Lots of character.

    I always appreciate a key in a lockbox as then you are not worried about your arrival time. Liz, the host was friendly. Good communication. Thd house was very well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the basket of goodies....thanks! We turned the central heating on so the house was toasty. There was plenty of space and it was easy to walk into the town and the local Coop.

    I didn't realise the house was on 3 floors with the bathroom on the top floor (although we had use of the outside loo too!). I was travelling with my parents who are in mid 80s... they found all the stairs difficult. My dad struggled to watch TV as the screen was quite small.

    Comfortable and relaxing. Host responded quickly to requests.

    Excellent location in the heart of Kirkcudbright, within walking distance of most points of interest and eating places. A good base also for exploring Galloway
