It was a lovely period house in a great location. Fernando was an exceptional host, arranging airport transfers and met us at the property, despite it being late, to give us a tour of the house and tell us about it's history. He made sure we had everything we needed and was insistent that we message him if we needed anything. The house retains many original features but has also boasts a modern kitchen and bathroom. It was so lovely to stay somewhere with so much character. Fernando also sent details of places to eat and local shops...the bakery he recommended was amazing! The beds were really comfy and all the bedrooms had air-conditioning. The rest of the house stayed nice and cool too as we followed Fernando's instructions about keeping the shutters closed at certain times. There are lots of lovely bars within a few minutes walk of the property but none close enough to make any noise. It is an easy walk into the older parts of Porto. We didn't bother with any public transport when we were there because we could walk to all the places we wanted to go. I would thoroughly recommend no 57 and hope very much to be back to stay there again very soon 😀

Een perfect uitgangspunt om het prachtige Porto te bezoeken.
Het huis is zeer comfortabel, ruim en goed onderhouden. De host is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. We zijn er een maand geweest om een boek te schrijven. We hadden dus ruim de tijd en gelegenheid om Porto te ontdekken en vanuit het huis van Fernando is dat uitstekend gelukt. Wij gaan zeker nog eens terug.
Er is een balkon maar dit nodigt niet uit om buiten te zitten. Voor ons was dit geen probleem.
