Poor experience at dirty property which was hugely overpriced
Spiros met us at the property at check in and was very helpful with the luggage and explaing the property and local area.
The property had an ant infestation and we saw cockroaches. It was poorly cleaned when we arrived with ants in the bathrooms and kitchen, hair in the shower drains, cigarette buts in the ashtray, cherry seeds on the living room floor and the hand shower was broken. The property manager George did send the cleaners the next day to clean and to apply ant repellant. However the ant repellant did not work and the infestation continued. We had to leave the property after three nights and check in elsewhere as we could not stay in such a dirty property. The washing machine is on the balcony with a family of pigeons living behind it. The balcony is filthy as a result and not useable. The beds are very uncomfortable and the air conditioning in the rooms do not work well. The duvets are very warm and the mattresses uncomfortable. George the property manager was polite and approachable. However when we asked to check out earlier because of the ant infestation, we were referred to the reservations manager who was very aggressive and intimidating and unwilling to accept that his property had any problems. He accused us of being freeloaders. I asked to cancel the booking at 9:25am and he did not reply until 6:30pm, making us stay and extra night in a filthy property. The security deposit was not returned during the stipulated timeframe, took them nearly 25 days and not the 14 days as stipulated and I had to complain to booking.com before they issued the refund. Overall the property is tired and in need of refurbishment and proper cleaning. The pictures are not accurate- they are from a long time ago.
