Paúl do Mar is a gem, quiet and beautiful, a real village full of real people.lovely fishing village seaside place.The house is really big and comfortable and very clean, in a very quiet cul de sac next to the soccer pitch, no hassle less than 100 yards from the sea, ten minutes walk along the prom to both ends of the beach for swimming. We didn't meet the owner but he was very easy to contact and helped organise a taxi for our return trip. Everything you could need even a washing machine and a big television.looking at the sea.plenty bananas. it is a good distance from Funchal, the only negative is if you don't hire a car, or are nervous of driving the twisty roads, you are limited to a bus service or taxis for getting around.factor in 80 euro each way for a taxi from Funchal.,no buses on Sundays from Funchal to Paul do mar. It was really nice to spend a full week in such a beautiful place.Nice friendly bars and restaurants, great food and coffee, and swimming at either end of the village was really nice, a pier at the Western side and a protected pebble beach at the eastern end, near where the fishing boats sleep, and the ducks.happy times in Paúl do Mar.
The occasional cockroach but it is a tropical place so now and again they'll turn up, they're more afraid of humans than we are of them.

Die Lage ist perfekt! Es ist ruhig, das Meer direkt vor der Tür. Viele Cafes vorhanden und im Hintergrund wunderschöne Berge. Aufgrund der Lage auch viel Sonnenschein. Das Apartment ist etwas dunkler, aber gemütlich. Kann es sehr empfehlen.

Duży i przestronny domek. Fajna lokalizacja i konkretny właściciel, który w razie potrzeby zawsze był pod telefonem. Jesteśmy zadowoleni, w domku spędzaliśmy tylko wieczory, więc dla nas idealnie.
