The quiet and serene atmosphere. The interesting architecture of the home. Great views.
The road to get there was long and slow and bumpy and dusty. The hot tub was not in use.

It was a perfect stop before a long stretch back to San Francisco. The house is clean, well maintained and loved which can be seen in every detail. So far, the best private house rental experience for me. It brought so many memories from the past. It felt like home. Starting from the surroundings - greenery, daisies, greenhouse and sauna; and inside - the wooden smell, curtains, chairs, and usage of every space; - I got back to "dacha" where we used to spend summers back in Belarus - my home country. Sauna: I used it at night. It got to 15 160F in about 30 minutes. I did 3 cycles of heat - cool (cold shower right in the sauna) - relax. On the second cycle it was 180F. Bathtub: I used it in the morning as I wanted to enjoy the view. I bought artisan bath salt in apothecary in Florence on purpose to complete the experience. I watched birds and mother Deer with Bamby eating berries while taking the bath. It was a bit chilly in the morning, so I turned on the heater in the bathroom.
I liked everything, but provided this feedback here for others to read and be ready for some limitations of houses in the remote area. Road: After turning from the highway, the road is gravel and sand for a little over a mile. We made it in our Honda Odyssey, but there were a few rough spots when going up. Water: The water source is from a well and you may need to wait to replenish. We noticed the pressure going down when taking a shower. If you plan on taking the bath, just run hot water first as it gets cooler. A few small notes: - Bathtub: while comfortable to lay down in, once filled the water is not covering the full body due to overflow being too low. Use your feet to cover it ;-))) - Sauna: getting to the top requires a bit of acrobatics as the upper and lower levels are the same width. It is a bit of a strange design. Usually, the lower level is wider and can be used as a step.
