  Idyllic, quiet location, a tidy and comfortable house with great views

  The location is perfect (a car is necessary): it's up in the hills, with views to die for and a large terrace to enjoy them from. The peace and quiet of the place is remarkable: a few cockerels in the morning - and that is all at least till 8am! More on the location: it is 7 min drive from Loreto with cafes and shops (I might be wrong, but morning is the best time to go), 10-15min drive from Calheta beach (the sea is shallow and warm; the sandy beach is perfectly maintained with umbrellas and sun-beds to rent; restaurants and bars at hand; a well stocked Pingo Doce supermarket; last but not least - amazing sunsets to watch). Snack Bar do Atouguia is 10 min walk from the property, we had a great lunch there. Funchal is about 40 min drive. The house is spacious, immaculately clean and well-equipped. The terrace was the selling point for us, and it lived up to the expectations: it felt luxurious to eat outside with the views of the sea (and sunsets). Bruno is a perfect host: friendly and prompt with advice of things to do and places to go. We were overwhelmed with his hospitality: he brought us home-grown bananas, eggs from their chicken, home-made cookies and even rum liqueur. We would not hesitate to go back and recommend the property to our friends!

  Merveilleux séjour

  Nous sommes arrivés et le logement était très propre . Sur la table , des bananes et petits gâteaux et du rhum au miel ainsi que des œufs frais. Merveilleuses attentions. La maison est parfaite avec une magnifique terrasse avec une vue imprenable. Notre hôte nous a donné pleins de conseils très appréciable.

  Five stars ✨ traditional house 🏠

  Beautiful house with incredible view😍 Very cozy and well equipped traditional house. In the kitchen everything you need. Our host Bruno well prepared for his guests, provided his own traditional food as a welcome gift 🫶🏻 Also he had so many advices to make our stay memorable and more comfortable 🤗 Thank you Bruno 🫶🏻😘😊 You’re the star ⭐ and your house is a five stars destination😘
