Posizione davvero fantastica a pochi passi da qualsiasi cosa. Appartamento spazioso, arredato con gusto e dotato di tutti i comfort essenziali.
Purtroppo ci sono troppi rumori, essendo uno stabile vecchio di notte si sente il minimo rumore. Mi sono svegliata moltissime volte perché l’appartamento superiore faceva tantissimi rumori anche nel cuore della notte. Piccolo appunto anche sull’ascensore, che si è bloccato diverse volte e sull’aggancio rotto per sostenere la doccia (purtroppo non molto comodo per lavarsi).

A bit better than Passable, but our worst stay in Greece.
The location was quite central and exactly where we wanted to be to walk around the Plaka area. Spacious. Had a washing machine.
The furnishing choices make the place feel/look very shabby/dingy. It wasn't uncomfortable, per se, but there was a level of discomfort/uncleanness.

We appreciated our stay at this older facility, and Plaka's location.
Location was excellent. We walked to all the popular places with no problem: Syntagma, Acropolis, Monastiraki, etc. The metro, buses, and taxis are easily accessed by an easy walk. Cleanliness, privacy from street noise, and elevator were appreciated. We ate out so didn't take advantage of cooking supplies that were available. A safe is provided but was locked when we arrived and the host was responsive to have it opened, in addition to providing more bathroom supplies (towels, paper). The directions to the safe could be improved because we didn't succeed in locking it so didn't use it.) The host was also thoughtful to ask if it was okay to drop the items off if we were not there. WiFi was good.
The bathroom is very small but manageable during our 1 week's stay. Linens were okay but we're used to wash cloths (not available) and full size bath towels for hair (thin body and hand towels provided). The clothes washer looked clean but the tub had a moldy scent so we used available soap to clean it (including mold found around the gasket) but the odor still lingered. We managed by washing items by hand. This area had some graffiti but considerably less than other parts of Athens. Apparently, it is against the law but little is done to correct the situation - some even told us it was an expression of "free speech". Regardless, do not judge as we first did.
