The hotel is in a remote and quiet area of Okinawa. It mainly hosts birding entusiasts looking to see the Okinawa Rail. Everything is great and of high quality as you would expect from Japan. There is not much to do in the area, but to enjoy the calm nature of the north side Okinawa. The place can be used as a base for exploring Yanbary NP. Note that driving anywhere takes at least 30 minutes, but there is a small shop and some beaches closer.

Nothing really, just adding notes: If you stay for longer, you need to know that the breakfast is the same each morning and and changes by season only. It is possible to have dinner, but you need to let them know at least on the previous day.

    Not the best decision

The staff which checked me in and showed me some animals by night was really nice. Free washing machine and dryer.

I booked three nights and it was way too long for the location. Not really a lot to do around, 1-2 nights would have been sufficient. I had breakfast 3 times and it was every morning exactly the same which was quite disappointing. On checkin day they fortunately managed to reserve dinner for me last minute - you have to do it one day beforehand but it would be nice to know this BEFORE arrival since there is really nothing around, so you would need to drive back to the other side of the island again. When checking in, I said I want to have dinner twice (on arrival day and next day) but when I walked into the restaurant, I wasn‘t on the list and they just told me that I can‘t have dinner tonight anymore, like really?! Their machines in the lobby only take cash which I hadn‘t anymore. Luckily it was 15 mins before the local shop in Ada closed otherwise I would have gone hungry to bed or needed to drive 30 mins in complete darkness to the other side of the island. I think this hotel could be a relly nice spot, I don‘t know why no one is putting some more effort in, it‘s quite run down and old.
