  El hotel es espectacular, las habitaciones amplias, nuevas y super limpias. La comida exquisita y el acceso a la playa y la playa una maravilla. Al estar alejado, del resto de hoteles, estábamos solos en una playa kilométrica.

  Nos cobraron aproximadamente 20 € más de lo que habíamos reservado a través de Booking. En el momento del pago no nos fijamos en la cantidad de rupias que pusieron en el datáfono y nos dimos cuenta de la diferencia más tarde. Al preguntar por el importe, nos explicaron que se debía las comisiones por el cambio de divisa. Durante el viaje pagamos prácticamente todo con tarjeta y ya sabíamos que se aplicaban pequeñas diferencias por el cambio de divisa, algo que nos ocurrió en todos los establecimientos. Sin embargo, en este caso la diferencia fue de unos 20 €, una cantidad que no cuadra.

  I would gladly stay here again and strongly recommend it

  I highly recommend Adaar Hotel. I initially booked another hotel in Trincomalee, but after arriving and seeing the severe pollution in some areas around Trincomalee, including open waste dumps everywhere and rubbish on the beach I decided to change my reservation at the last minute and stay at Adaar instead. From the beginning, my experience at Adaar Hotel was outstanding. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive and accommodating, especially the restaurant team and the reception staff. They genuinely pay attention to details. For example, we always chose the same table in the restaurant, and when the hotel became busier, the staff took the initiative to place a “Reserved for room ...” sign on that table for us. It is a small gesture, but it made us feel truly welcomed. During our stay, we had the opportunity to try a large part of the restaurant’s menu. The selection is varied without being excessively large, which gave us the impression that the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were prepared with care. Everything we tried was delicious. (Except the chicken burger that I did not like). In my experience, staying at a high-end hotel in Sri Lanka does not always guarantee having a good restaurant, so this was another major positive point. The hotel itself is well designed and well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable, although perhaps slightly dark. We particularly appreciated having an outdoor bathroom in addition to the indoor one. The swimming pool is spacious and clean, and pleasantly, it does not have a strong chlorine smell. There is also direct access to the beach from the back of the hotel. The beach is cleaned in front of the property, although unfortunately there are still some small pieces of plastic in the sand further along the shore. This is a real shame, but it is clearly a wider environmental issue affecting the area rather than a reflection of the hotel’s own efforts.

  There are, of course, a few areas that could still be improved in order to fully align with the standards expected of a five-star hotel. I would be happy to share these suggestions with the management as part of a constructive and continuous improvement process, should they be interested in contacting me.

  Schönes ruhiges Hotel

  Das Hotel hat eine schöne Lage mit Strandzugang. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen im eigenen Restaurat ist echt super.
