The staff were genuinely very kind, but unfortunately, their kindness did not make the hotel itself any more comfortable. When we entered our room, the complimentary treats that had been left for us made us feel very special, so thank you for that. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, and the pool was absolutely amazing — the water was incredibly clean and very enjoyable. However, breakfast was a complete disappointment. I still can’t forget the moldy olives and tomatoes; it was really unpleasant. Also, the lady working at breakfast kept looking at us in such an unfriendly and intimidating way that it made us feel uncomfortable. The hotel is generally quite old, although all of our requests were taken care of. For me, the worst part of the experience was when I returned to the room the next day and saw that, while the bed was being made, all of my clothes had been thrown onto the floor. This was honestly unacceptable, especially because the floor had not been cleaned and there was hair on it. To be fair, this happened on the second day; when we first checked in, the room itself was clean. One small suggestion: there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels. Bathrobes were provided, which was great, but there was also nowhere to hang them. Mine fell onto the floor, so I couldn’t use it afterward. I know that we booked the last available room on the island for those dates, so in that sense we were lucky. However, considering the price we paid, the hotel was definitely not good value for money.
