Beautiful design and great food, but too many maintenance and comfort issues.

The place is beautifully designed. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and the staff is friendly.

Our room had no wifi. Staff said they'd look into it but never did. • The bath ran out of hot water, so the bath was cold. • The bathroom has a sloped ceiling, so I couldn't stand upright in the shower. It made showering really unpleasant. • The restaurant was full of flies, probably because of the nearby horses. • Biggest issue: the restaurant entrance, the restaurant bathroom, and the library all had a strong, foul smell, like rotten wood or something I couldn't identify. It sometimes reached our room too. • The swimming pool was covered in mosquitoes.
