    Spectacular view if you don't mind the walk.

    The view from the room was spectacular, and whilst the room was basic, it was good and clean. Proprietors were helpful and friendly, the breakfasts excellent, and origins of the place very interesting. (Look up the meaning of 'Crotto' in Italian; actually a dialect word.)

    Be aware that it is a good half-hour walk into the centre of town, and a stiff walk back up the hill, particularly after a glass of wine. (This is the trade-off for the spectacular view.) There is a very enjoyable restaurant/bar very close by, but it is closed on Mondays. (Guess which day I arrived after a long day travelling ...)
