Relax in idyllic nature with good food and wine
Lovely place with all you can want and the offer of home grown vegetables from Christian was amazing. He even helped us with the BBQ! The town has a cathedral with a cript over 1,000 years old and even a further underground passage which is said to contain stones with the blood of Jesus, brought there in Middle Ages. We recommend locally: - natural bagni (hot water baths of volcanic origin) - free of charge - nearby villages - Torre Alfina Castle (open only certain days, for a fee) - Bosco del Sasseto (open certain days, for a fee) - lake is some 25-35 minutes away to rent boats/pedalo - antinori del chianti (lovely architecture windward) - mountain is 40 minutes away - sea is just over one hour away - Assisi is also doable, some 80 minutes away
