Very enjoyable stay at Ai Lumi.
The location was very good in Old town, breakfast was nice served in their restaurant next door, we were able to do an early check-in and they kept our bags the next day until we left Trapani. They helped to organize a taxi to take us up to Erice( party of 7).
They do not have an elevator up to the first floor rooms( this is clearly stated on their website) , but for the 2nd floor they have a lift for the suitcases.

Posizione centralissima in edificio storico e vicina agli imbarchi. Perfettamente rispondente alla descrizione
Impossibilità di aprire la finestra che affacciava sullo scarico fumi della cucina del ristorante sottostante

A lovely place to stay in the heart of the old town
Beautiful building in excellent location for old town. Every single person we dealt with there was friendly and helpful. (Special shout out to lady serving breakfast - so efficient!). Our room was spacious with seating area and kitchenette (which we had no need to use). Shower pressure isn't great on top floor, but then that helps with saving water, which we should be doing anyway, and actually it was fine. Amazingly quiet considering we were on a main thoroughfare. Instructions to get into our room out of office hours, were precise and easy.
I found the bed hard, but nevertheless slept reasonably well. Room could probably do with a freshen up, particularly the grouting in the shower, but we had no complaints about cleanliness. Yes, the steps up to our room took a little bit of getting used to with old knees, but I just treated it as a work-out!
