    Beautiful place with a wonderful view but terrible maintenance service

    The house is located between the mountains. You have the BBQ and pool options, a mountain view. The rooms were big enough and the location ok. The customer service was responsible, the instructions on the usage of the property were clear.

    Seems that as the property itself has a nice view and wonderful location then the Ruidoso Vacation Rentals who manage the place (and the owner) don`t want to spend any time and money to keep the place in good shape - the view and location itself should be enough to the visitors. When we arrived at the property, the outer door was hanging on its hinges, there was no Wifi, one bedroom and connected bathroom were lacking electricity (only the sockets had power), there was a leakage in the bathroom and the smoke detectors beeped every 30 seconds (I guess because of the electricity issue). The maintenance team sent by the Ruidoso Vacation Rentals team managed to solve only the issue with the outer door on the second day. They didn`t solve anything else - no WiFi (not much use from the WiFi router if you can connect to it, but it doesn`t connect to the internet), the problem with the electricity and the smoke detectors stayed. The very strict contract that you sign as a guest places many responsibilities to you as a guest but leaves almost no responsibilities to the host).Forgot to add - the DVD-player advertised there is broken.
