  Amazing stay in the Transylvania countryside overlooking mountains.

  We absolutely loved this hotel and the location which is close to Dracula's castle, National Park and other local attractions. It's set on top of the rural Transylvania hillside with breathtaking views of the mountains. The hotel faces the West and enjoys an incredible sunset. We took advantage of the jacuzzi and the sauna which both overlooked the sunset. The hotel is located on a quiet road surrounded by farms, you can take a short ten minute walk to visit a very large cave system that includes many bats -- kind of fun when you consider the history of Transylvania with vampires and bats!

  The location is outstanding and breakfast was delicious and met my expectations .

  I would have liked to find more electrical outlets in the room and bathroom.

  Great value, location, food and service - and you pay for it :)

  The room was big, very clean. Big comfortable bed (with 2 pillows for each person by default! :-D ). Breakfast was very reach (but see note in the "didn't like" section) and if you speak in advance and lucky, you'll be accommodated with special food needs (we needed gluten free bread and in spite of this being written as provided by the place in their description - the first breakfast did NOT have such. They have supplemented this on our 2nd breakfast). Food in general in the restaurant was great and includes enough vegetarian dishes. The view (we took the room with a view south I think, to the hills and rolling green hills) is amazing, also from the restaurant balcony. The location is quite good and offers short hikes around. We recommend the bat caves nearby (trip course paper is available at the reception). The spa service is unique and nice: sauna, jacuzzi and morning yoga lessons (quite unique). I have to note that 1 time we booked the sauna but apparently it was off (do make sure in advance it's 'on').

  Despite they write 'gluten free' options on breakfast and even though we requested this in the booking.com messaging system - it was provided only for the second breakfast, not the first. Do make sure your food requirements are being handled. The room we took had a big window from floor, to high above (2m height approx). This is very nice but it was also right above the restaurant balcony below and you could either have the privacy curtain covering the entire window, or not at all. I would have appreciated privacy curtain over the lower half of it (it is possible to arrange this) si I could have enjoyed the view AND have privacy. It was our most expensive stay in the trip. Just take that into account as well
