Wir haben dieses Haus als Basis für unsere Kyoto-Erkundungen genossen.
Sehr freundlicher, unkomplizierter Ablauf beim Check-in. Ruhige Lage, ein paar Gehminuten nur entfernt von einer Bahnstation. Typisches Machiya-Haus schön umgebaut. Sehr sauber. Schöne, grosszügige Dusche. Über Website Zugang zu verschiedenen Bedienungshinweisen (Air Conditioning, Toiletten, Waschmaschine etc.)
Höchstens kleine Details bei der Ausstattung: nichts gefunden, um Wäsche aufzuhängen; Bügeleisen war ein kleines Kombigerät mit Steamer, keine Bügelunterlage gefunden.

Akeiro Machiya House
Akeiro has a wonderful charm to it, rough and imperfect in some places, but in a good way. I loved seeing the history of the building being blended with the newer additions. The renovation to this Machiya was done very successfully for holiday stays. We had everything we needed in the dwelling and anything else we wanted only a short walk or train away. We added an extra night to our booking so we could stay here another night instead of another accommodation. It was hard to leave, loved it!
The paper lantern in the living area had a lot of dust on it.

A beautiful gem in the midst of a crazy city!!
Akeiro is a beautiful gem and a wonderful retreat from the hustle & bustle of Kyoto! I only discovered this house a few weeks before our visit to Japan, and it was one of the best places we stayed! It really felt like home! And was so comfortable for our family of 2 adults & 2 teens. Everything was perfect and I couldn’t fault anything… The location was an easy 20-min walk from Kyoto Station… and about 15-min from Nishiki Market! I would highly recommend Akeiro for a stay in Kyoto!!
There was nothing I could fault! Everything was perfect!
