  A White Lotus-Worthy Luxury Escape in the Heart of Ubud

  If you're looking for a true luxury jungle retreat, this resort is nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled cliffside in the heart of Ubud, it feels completely removed from the hustle and bustle of Bali while still being close enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The private villas are absolutely stunning. Spacious, beautifully designed, and perfectly positioned to provide incredible jungle views with complete privacy. We often felt as though we were the only guests on the entire property. The unique inclinator rides to and from the villas add a magical touch, making you feel like you're stepping into a movie set every time. What truly sets this resort apart is the exceptional service. The staff anticipated our every need from the moment we arrived until the moment we departed. A special thank you to Krishna, who took outstanding care of us throughout our stay and made every experience seamless and memorable. The dining was another highlight. Every meal was beautifully prepared and delicious. Meta and Mery welcomed us each day with genuine warmth and beautiful smiles, making us feel like family. This resort perfectly blends luxury, tranquility, privacy, and world-class hospitality. It felt like something straight out of The White Lotus, only with even better service. We cannot wait to return.

  An Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Hospitality

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at Akohara Buahan, and it was an absolutely perfect experience. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff—they are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always have a genuine, warm smile on their faces. They consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The accommodations were fantastic. Our room was impeccably clean and tidy, complete with our own beautiful private pool. The service extended right to our doorstep; while lounging by the pool, the staff thoughtfully brought us fresh watermelon and ice-cold water, which was such a refreshing and much-appreciated surprise. Dining at the restaurant was another highlight, as the food was consistently delicious. We also really enjoyed the resort's daily activities, but it was the small, thoughtful personal touches that made the trip unforgettable. Celebrating a birthday there was made extra special with unexpected birthday messages and a wonderful cake! As an added bonus, the complimentary washing service was incredibly convenient and a rare perk. I cannot recommend Akohara Buahan highly enough. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with a team that truly cares about your experience, this is the place to stay!

  A truly special stay

  Akohara exceeded my expectations and was one of my favourite of hotels I stayed at in Bali. What made it stand out was the genuine warmth of the staff. Hearing things like “Thank you for visiting my village” captured the spirit of their hospitality perfectly. It felt sincere and personal, far beyond the usual standard of hotel service. The team was also incredibly generous and accommodating whenever we needed anything. The villa was beautiful, nestled in the heart of the jungle, and the food was exceptional — by far the best Indonesian food I had in Bali. Breakfast was equally enjoyable. A special thank you to Purnawati and Erni for the excellent massage I had upon arrival. It was the perfect way to unwind and begin the stay. Akohara offers something beyond beautiful accommodation: genuine hospitality from people who truly want to give their best. It was the most memorable stay of my trip, and I would happily return.

  The best stay of our Bali trip

  The villa sits deep in the jungle and waking up to that view from the infinity pool never got old. Total privacy, beautiful design, and the staff were warm without ever being intrusive. Breakfast at Jihwa was excellent and the spa was a real highlight. The shuttle into Ubud made day trips easy. We'd go back tomorrow.
