Warm welcoming host in a quirky great value apartment in an authentic old town building

Harry Potter fans?? This is the place for you 👍Luciana was a great host . She met us in Salerno and drove us to the property . It’s up in the historic area.. way up . Would be hard to find on your own I think . Steps away from a beautiful panoramic view . Lots of info from Luciana in person and there’s lots of maps and guides for you . Luciana baked us a fresh cake and there was coffee tea milk water and juice in fridge for us . She kept in touch and gave us recommendations and met with us when we moved out to make sure we got to the train station . There’s everything you need here . It’s in a very authentic part of Salerno which is not touristy . A great jumping off point for Amalfi by boat, we did a trip . Lovely seafront promenade , buildings , churches . It’s a great spot to people watch . Great access to railway links we went down the coast to Tropea then Reggio Calabria . This apartment is a great value for money base . Just be prepared to walk . Taxis are available but they aren’t plentiful . Buses are good . With google translate we managed to chat to Luciana , I had learned a little Italian before travelling so that really helped . She is a lovely person who makes you feel home . Thank you Luciana xx

There is a communal roof area but with no seats there so we sat at the open windows with a Juliette balcony . If you are used to sitting on a terraced balcony with chairs and tables this isn’t for you . This seems to be common in Italy so check balcony means balcony . It didn’t spoil our holiday as we were out and about a lot . Salerno is lovely historic centre is great you get lost after 5 minutes . Bear in mind there aren’t any shops or bars adjacent it’s a good 10 minute walk to nearest . We are aged 60 and 71 . We managed the steep steps and stairs down and up maybe it was a wake up call for us regarding fitness . If you have any mobility issues this isn’t the place for you .

Polecam każdemu kto chce mieszkać w zabytkowej części miasteczka we Włoszech.
