Beautiful Villa and Friendly Staff, but Serious Concerns About Privacy and Cleanliness
I stayed in a private pool villa with a jungle view, and there were definitely some things I really enjoyed about the property. The view was beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and the villa itself was lovely. The private pool was a nice touch, and the resort also had great facilities, including an infinity pool. The Wi-Fi worked well, and having a smart TV with Amazon Prime Video and a good internet connection was another plus. The only downside regarding the location is that the property is a little far from some of the facilities and places outside the resort, so getting around can be slightly inconvenient.
However, there were two major issues that significantly affected my experience. 1. Privacy – A Serious Concern This was the most disappointing part of my stay. When booking a private pool villa, I expected a reasonable level of privacy, especially since the whole point of this type of accommodation is to relax and enjoy your own private space. Unfortunately, I was shocked when a member of the room service staff came up the stairs leading down to my villa without knocking on the exterior door or properly announcing their presence. This felt like a direct invasion of my privacy, particularly in a villa advertised as having a private pool and its own boundaries. When I raised the issue with the staff, the response was rather dismissive, as I was told that using those stairs was normal. I explained that this was exactly the problem: just because the stairs are accessible does not mean staff should use them to enter or approach the private villa area unexpectedly. There is an exterior door that should be used to access the villa properly, and staff should always knock and wait for permission before entering. For me, this is not a minor issue. Privacy is a basic expectation when paying for a private pool villa, and I believe the property should take this concern much more seriously. 2. Insects and Room Sealing I understand that insects are part of staying in a tropical destination like Bali, especially in a property surrounded by nature. Finding insects in outdoor areas is understandable, and even the occasional ant can happen. However, what I found unacceptable was that the room itself did not seem to be properly sealed. On more than one occasion, I found Gecko inside the room, in addition to ants in certain areas. The problem seemed to be that gaps around the room and ceiling allowed insects to get inside, particularly at night.

Disappointing Stay Despite Lovely Staff
The staff
We stayed for four nights in a private pool villa. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. The main positive was the staff, who were genuinely kind, welcoming and helpful. The villa was not well maintained. There were gaps underneath the entrance door and around the pool door, allowing bugs to enter, and we had to cover the gaps ourselves. The bathroom sink was unstable, and the uneven flooring made walking inside the villa feel unsteady and unsafe. Overall, the layout and condition of the villa did not feel comfortable or relaxing. We also did not feel comfortable using the private pool as it was directly next to dense trees and vegetation, making us concerned about insects or other small creatures entering the pool area. Breakfast only started at 8:00 am, with limited choices. Although it was nicely prepared and presented by the staff, we felt the quality of the ingredients could have been better. The daily drinking water supply was also very limited. Housekeeping was only available from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the shuttle to Ubud centre ran only twice a day and was one way only. Overall, the staff were lovely, but the maintenance, comfort and limited services meant that the stay did not meet our expectations.
