  Schlimmste Unterkunft

  Das einzig gute an dieser Wohnung ist tatsächlich die Lage; das Bett ist wirklich sehr bequem. Es könnte aber auch gut sein, dass wir wegen des Sauerstoffmangels halbwegs gut geschlafen haben. Der Gastgeber war freundlich und hat mit Tipps unterstützt.

  Die Unterkunft ist eine Katastrophe und die Bewertung stimmt absolut nicht mit der Realität überein. Wir haben es eine Nacht (statt der gebuchten 3 Nächte) ausgehalten und hatten Glück in der Nähe eine Alternative zu finden. Die Wohnung stinkt wie ein alter Keller, ist unerträglich warm und es würde mich nicht wundern, wenn es schimmelt, weil Lüften absolut nicht möglich ist. Nachts ist die einzige Luftzufuhr über ein winziges Fenster möglich, an dem alle vorbeilaufen und direkt ins Bett schauen. Wenn man eine normale Größe hat, kann man nicht aufrecht in der Dusche stehen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut nicht.

  Amazing Location, even better host.

  I had a wonderful stay at this unit in March. It was very comfortable, with a great bed and an unbeatable location. You’ll find it right in the heart of Alfama, yet it feels like its own quiet enclave, complete with a mural beside the entrance. Walk just 50–100 winding meters in any direction and you’ll discover restaurants, transit, markets, coffee shops, and laundry (really anything you might need) tucked along charming cobblestone alleys. The host, Jorge, is fantastic. I almost hesitate to say this because I’m sure he’s busy, but if you have the chance, ask him for recommendations. He was very eager to help. The little time I spent chatting with him genuinely enhanced my trip, is suggestions were far better than anything I found online. One thing to note: as the unit is set among Alfama’s winding alleyways and Lisbon’s famous hills, you’ll need to navigate some stairs when coming and going. I was aware of this in advance, and even with a bad knee, I didn’t find it an issue. With a bit of planning(and by using Lisbon’s excellent transit or ride-share options) you can choose routes that suit you best. I would typically start my day with a short uphill walk and return a different way the meant I was walking up hill to come bacc, (since going downhill bothered my knee more) ;others could easily do the reverse. One of my favorite aspects of the location is that within about five minutes, you can reach a stop for the iconic Tram 28, which carries you out of Alfama and into other parts of the city for further exploring. Overall, a fantastic stay in a truly special part of Lisbon.

  Lage pro und contra

  Lage war sowohl pro als contra. Pro: zentral, Contra: Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, keine Gitter an den Fenstern, daher Nachts lüften nicht möglich. Dadurch sehr warm.

  Viele Touristentruppen, die direkt vor dem einzigen Fenster der Unterkunft stehen, dadurch sehr unruhig.

  Exceptional

  The location was great. The apartment was very compact but it was somewhere you wanted to spend time in. The additional touches like coffee for the Nespresso machine and even a bottle of red wine were really appreciated. Excellent instructions for checking in which were especially helpful given our flight was delayed.
