    Do not be fooled by the pictures that were taken 6 years ago! This place was all new in 2020 by now the place has been run down and neglected, ignored by the owner. On arrival I was greeted with a horrid smell, rationalised it was the previous persons cooking. On further inspection I noticed pictures were peeling off the walls, fruit flies flying around and the fridge was not cleaned with debris in and a sticky kitchen counter. I don't complain much and decided to ignore these and enjoy my night. Now I know I should have taken more pictures. Bathroom was spotless. Only good point. Upto the bedroom, all looked well even though I noticed a lot of scuffs and the bottom of the curtains were badly stained. This place has not been maintained since the "show home" pictures. I woke in the morning to strip the bed for the cleaning staff and found the most disgusting, foul, stained upon stained mattress I'd ever seen. The duvet was covered in multicoloured stains, the pillows were orange under their covers. Vile. I gave the property owner the benefit of the doubt and asked for a partial refund. While waiting for a response from booking.com the property owner messaged me on the app. Which I ignored. She then took my personal number and decided to take it upon herself to contact me via WhatsApp. After laying it out what happened to her she offered me £50 as a "good will gesture". For a property that cost £218 per night. There are previous reviews stating the mattress was sunken and nothing had been done. There is no way the property owner didn't know the state of her mattress after numerous complaints and still let guests sleep on that thing. The offer of £50 says it all. Cheap and dirty woman! I’ve claimed back £100 through my bank which the owner will have to pay eventually. Could have redeemed herself by settling for the £100 but showed herself as cheap again by declining and offering only £50.
