Transportation Information and Charges – Not included; payable separately before arrival. Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is located in Raa Atoll, in the northern part of the Republic of Maldives. The charges are as follows: Seaplane Transfer: Round-trip from Male Airport, from January 2027 to 09 January 2028: - Adult (12 years and above): USD 745 - Child (2–11 years): USD 445 per child. - Infant (0–2 years): Free of cost The resort will book your transfers to and from Alila based on your international arrival/departure flight timings. All guests are requested to share the names of all accompanying guests, including children, as they appear on your passports, along with your international flight details, at least 7 days before arrival to ensure a smooth and timely transfer. The Resort reserves the right to revise the rates in the event of a government mandate to increase GST or a change in fuel costs. Seaplane travel important notes: - Maximum luggage allowance: 20 kg checked baggage and 5 kg hand baggage. - Overweight luggage is subject to an additional charge. - Seaplanes are operational only during daytime (06:30 to 15:30) as per Maldivian aviation regulations and subject to weather conditions and maintenance needs. - The seaplane check-in counter closes one hour before departure. - Guests arriving on flights at around 15:00 are required to be at the check-in counter by 16:00 to guarantee transfers on the same day. - Guests departing on international flights earlier than 09:00 may require check-out one day before the date of departure and stay overnight in Malé (at own cost) to reach the airport on time. - In situations where there is no connection available between international flights and seaplane schedules, guests will need to stay in Malé (city) at their own cost and travel the next day, subject to available transportation Please note that a Green Tax of USD 12 per child per night is also applicable. Due to safety and privacy concerns, the operation of unmanned aerial systems (drones) by any guests, including model aircraft operated by recreational users and hobbyists, is prohibited. Please present the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in / making the payment at the hotel. Please note that the property may contact the cardholder for verification purposesPlease inform of your expected arrival time in advance. The only thing we truly liked was the island itself. It is a very beautiful and scenic place with amazing nature and views.
Unfortunately, the service and transfer organization completely ruined our experience. We booked the stay for only one night, specifically because we wanted to arrive early enough to have a photoshoot and take photos and videos before sunset. On Booking.com, the information stated that the Sea Plane transfer would be at 12:00 PM and that we would arrive and be able to check in around 2:00 PM. However, in reality, we were picked up from the city only around 4:00 PM and arrived at the island at approximately 5:30 PM, when it was already getting dark. Because of this delay, we lost several valuable hours of our only night at the resort. We had specifically chosen this place for its beautiful surroundings and planned to take photos and videos before sunset, but unfortunately, we arrived too late and could not do what we had planned. What was even more disappointing was the attitude of the staff. When we explained our situation and expressed our disappointment, instead of apologizing or trying to find a solution, the staff spoke to us in a very rude, unfriendly and aggressive manner. It felt like their main concern was simply getting the payment and completing the paperwork. We were not properly informed about anything and were not offered any solution, compensation or even a simple gesture to make the situation better. We arrived around 5:30–6:00 PM, but the next day we were asked to check out around 12:00–12:30 PM. For a one-night booking, this meant that we actually had very little time to enjoy the resort. We expected a completely different level of service, especially from a resort at this price level. If the transfer information shown on Booking.com does not reflect the actual transfer schedule, this should be clearly communicated to guests in advance.

Amazing time
The water villa is a must at the resort. We absolutely loved the stay, the attention from the staff is exceptional. The facilities options are many. The staff at restaurants, spa, bar, the host who handles your requirements.. everyone around the resort is ever ready to assist. The chefs also pay attention to your requirements and needs. They customise whatever you need.
There is nothing literally to point out.

Can’t Wait to Return!
Our stay at Alila was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The resort is beautifully designed, the villas are stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind. What made our experience even more special was the incredible team. Every member of the staff was genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel at home. A very special thank you to our host, Syn, for the outstanding hospitality and care throughout our stay. Syn was always available to help, ensured everything ran smoothly, and made our holiday even more memorable. Thank you to the entire Alila team for creating such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return!
