    Enjoyable cave home in the sassi district. Close to restaurants, with great view of Matera. Parking outside the ancient

    Authentic cave home with added electric lights, heat, full kitchen, living/dining room, clothes washer, dishwasher, bedroom and bathroom. Private courtyard behind locked doors with a private terrace. It has a part of the cave that was not modernized where wine was made and stored. Cisternino below the cave home is visible from two windows in the floor.

    Bathroom lacks a shower enclosure. Firm bed.

    Excellent location inside Matera.

    Beautiful historical structure located central inside Matera. Wonderful views over Matera from a small terracce above the enclosed outdoor area. Pier was a wonderful host and helped us find parking and more. Will surely come back again and hopefully drink a glass of wine with Pier in the cold basement of the structure...
