  I was very happy

  Beautiful place, very comfortable and good people

  Breakfast is different in Europe where I am from. We have a buffet with everything ready and it is included in the price.

  Beautiful location, terrible resort

  My husband and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary. The cottage we paid to stay in could have been clean upon check in but it was dirty. There was lipstick in the sink, hair on the sink and bathroom floor, crumbs on the coffee table and the dining table. So, instead we had to stay in another room for the night which was not a cottage but a regular room with 2 queens instead of a king like the cottage we booked for. We were told our room would be ready quickly the next day and by 11 am it still wasn't ready and we had to keep our belongings in our car all day. We were told someone would contact us when our room was finally ready and by 4:30pm no one had contacted us. We came back to the resort hoping our cottage was ready and were told it was ready. When we went back there were still crumbs on the coffee table and the table as before. The bathroom looked better initially and we thought it was clean until I stepped on used floss from a previous guest. I told the front desk again the cottage was not 100% clean and was told the owner would contact me the next day. Justin the general manager contacted me that night and all that was said was sorry can we send a bottle of champagne. We declined as we do not like champagne and that doesn't fix the actual problem. The following day the owner never contacted me to speak about these issues and I was tired of explaining it at this point. We couldn't wait to check out this morning and will not be back. It's a beautiful location but the actual place is not great. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

  Perfect Setting for a Laid-Back Business Trip

  My co-workers and I enjoyed a wonderful three days here at the Allenberry Spa and Resort. So much about this place seemed to fit perfectly what we were looking for; it was secluded but not too difficult to get to; it boasts beautiful building and grounds without having to sacrifice the creature comforts that are a necessity on a business trip; the food was excellent; the space worked well for our group (about 25 people) and the staff made accommodations to make sure that we had everything we needed in terms of audio/visual equipment for various presentations; the rooms were comfortable and well cleaned by the attentive staff; and the employees were helpful, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that we had a great time. A big shout out to the General Manager, Justin, the young but incredibly competent Manager, Owen, the barrista, Ava, the kitchen staff including Brandon, Art, and Alex, the front desks people, Elizabeth, Katie (sp?), and Owen (must be a very common name in PA), and the cleaning staff, for all of their extra help throughout our stay.
