A good place to visit in the area.
Our house was attached to the owners' house and featured a ground floor, an upper floor, and two bathrooms. Parking was right in front of the window. Everything was very clean; the bed was comfortable, and the bedroom was spacious. It is a great base—including for train travel—for visiting Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as Stirling and other locations in the area. The house appeared new or recently renovated.
The only thing that bothered us was the lack of privacy. The owners don't use their main house entrance; instead, they walk right past our window, and their children and friends often hang out in the garden or take their bicycles in and out of a storage area located directly in front of our window. Basically, it is impossible to be in the living room or kitchen without being seen from outside—unless you keep the shutters closed all the time. We value privacy highly, and although we liked the little house, we felt we didn't have any. There was an outdoor table set up for us in front of the entrance, but since everyone walks right past you, it’s hard to enjoy breakfast outside. If these issues don't bother you, the house is a great place to stay.

Quiet location. Clean and very comfortable.
Clean, comfortable and well set out. Everything there for a cuppa when we first came in. We were welcomed by our host. First time we’ve had a cottage and if Alma Villa is anything to go by, it won’t be our last

Apartamento cómodo para estar unos días entre Glasgow y Edimburgo.
La casita estaba muy bien. Tenía de todo y además la anfitriona nos dejó una cesta con chuches, gallegas, magdalenas, cafés, té…
La parte de abajo salón y cocina eran pequeños pero nosotros nos hemos apañado muy bien y hemos sido dos adultos y dos niños grandes.
