The staff are amazing, the place is just a tad tired and needs some sound proofing.

    The view was amazing.

Time for a new mattress, “worn and hard, and the fridge can use a spring clean, “bad smell”. The bed next door also requires an upgrade, as I heard hours of springs squeezing, “good effort neighbours”! Depending on the location of your apartment, the one I stayed in was near the road, and the windows are not sound proofed so lots of traffic noise. Lastly arrive in the day light, with all the construction going on it is not easy to find.

    No sleep, constant noise

The interiors of the unit and the size.

We stayed here for seven nights and unfortunately had a pretty terrible experience. The biggest issue was the road noise. The unit backs directly onto the main road and the only thing holding it back is a thin glass door. From around 6–7am until after 11pm, we could constantly hear traffic. It was so loud that even sitting in the living room with the TV turned up loud you could still clearly hear the road. We arrived on a weekend so we thought it might settle down, but it didn’t. After seven nights of barely sleeping, we were completely exhausted. The owner told us the windows had been changed and that curtains had been installed in the bedroom to help with the noise. I can’t comment on the windows but anyone could see those thin curtains wouldn’t help anything. The construction on the property was another major issue. There were two large construction sites at both entrances to the property. Because we arrived on a weekend, we didn’t realise the extent of how it would impact us until Monday/Tuesday, when the main entrance was completely blocked off. Getting in and out meant driving over a rough, rocky area and around a sharp corner. Plus being in the unit during the day then meant road and construction noise. I was going to leave it and just make my review but on our second last day I cracked after several days on less than 6 hrs sleep and messaged the owner. They admitted they hadn’t told us about the construction because it hadn’t been an issue for other guests and booking.com didn’t let them change the listing. Calling that out because I’ve been notified over messages of construction before a stay. We were staying for seven nights, and I think guests should be told about significant construction before they arrive. If I had known about it during the refundable cancellation period, I would have cancelled and booked somewhere else. The parking situation was also not as we expected from the listing.

We really enjoyed our stay and found the bus stop virtually outside the property very useful for going into town. The vi

Loved the views, modern amenities and proximity to public transport and downtown Queenstown.

The bedroom is at street level right next to Frankton Road which is very busy. Need ear plugs to minimize road noise for sleeping.
