  A beautiful, historic, peaceful home from home — amazing value, perfect location, and wonderful people! Highly recommend

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cozy, historic, feels like home — amazing value and perfect location! This beautiful building dates back to 1698 — the year is carved right into one of the ceiling beams! Staying here feels like stepping into history, while enjoying all the modern comforts. 🏰✨ Accommodation was beautiful, location was excellent, facilities inside perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean and very clean throughout. It was super quiet and peaceful — the river is just right across the road, and at night it’s so satisfying to open the window and listen to it. The river is quite powerful and the sound is beautiful and so relaxing. 🌊 Perfect for families, spacious enough for everyone — and super family-friendly, super budget-friendly! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed. The living room is perfect — and the sofa turns into a bed, so you can easily use the living room as an extra bedroom too! 🛋️➡️🛏️ Very easy to find with clear instructions and smooth key/code access. Car park is no less than 100 metres away at the restaurant — easy and convenient! 🚗 AMAZING location — so convenient for everything! Train station just a couple of metres away behind the house, and the cable car to the mountains is right there too — saves so much money compared to going via Interlaken to the glacier! 🏔️💰 And it’s the perfect base for day trips — you can easily drive to Italy and come back the same day! 🇮🇹 Shops are only about a 4-minute drive away — very convenient. The neighbours are amazing — very helpful! The restaurant just across the road is wonderful too — everyone was so welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to help — absolutely wonderful people. To be honest — don’t expect a 5-star hotel, because it’s not a 5-star hotel. But it’s cozy, it’s full of character, it feels like home — and it’s super budget friendly! That’s exactly what I was looking for — somewhere to rest, take a shower, and get out to explore Switzerland and beyond. Perfect for that!

  Honestly — nothing we didn't like! Everything was exactly as described and we had a wonderful stay. Just a couple of small things to note for future guests — only one toilet, and the shower is a bit compact — but neither was a problem for us at all.

  Tolle Wohnung, noch bessere Küche!

  Die Wohnung ist fussläufig in ca 3 min von der Bahnstation Mörel erreichbar. Die Ausstattung, speziell die der Küche, ist ausgezeichnet. Alle Küchengeräte sind von bester Qualität. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war bestens und alle Fragen wurden umgehend beantwortet. Ganz klare Empfehlung!!!!

  Der Höhe des Hauses geschuldet ist die Dusche für ausgewachsene Männer, sagen wir mal, recht niedrig. Wir waren aber alle noch recht beweglich und haben es als Yogaübung angesehen. Passte schon…

  Good, but…

  The place is really very clean and freshly renovated. It is in a VERYYY old Fachwerk building and you will feel it :) The kitchen is very well-equipped with anything you may need.

  The shower was a nightmare. There are no partitions so it floods after every shower no matter how careful one is. The sloping ceiling is also extremely low so for an average European male, you have to bow your head while showering and trying to minimise how much water jumps out the basin. The flush repeatedly got stuck during our stay that it was so annoying removing the cover and putting it back on that we left it off. The alternative was letting it flush 24/7 which we did not want. We somehow forgot to write about it and got a call from the host that it was “broken” (which it was not). We managed to clear it up but still got a message from the host that the “cleaner said the apartment was left in a difficult state”. If this includes leaving behind two bags of trash (note: packed) which we did not receive instructions on where to take out (we would have gladly taken it out otherwise), I don’t know what to say. We even made sure to load all our dishes in the dishwasher before leaving and would have gladly run it had we not run out of dishwasher tabs (they only provided 3). Or maybe it was the fact that we had to use 3 rugs in the bathroom to not flood the place. We were 5 people and yes, the rugs were soaked when we left. Were we not supposed to shower? Idk, the whole cleaner comment really just rubbed us off wrong.
