  Good guides, disappointing stay

  It is a family business and they know there way in the area. We had a great tour towards the Bluefield tea estate and visited some nice waterfalls. They supported us to visit the Horton plains and to go to our next destination. In general they are very helpful.

  After we eventually found the hotel, no clear sign and run-down building from the outside, there was nobody there. We tried calling but the number went straight to voicemail. Because our driver started asking around where we could find the owner we eventually found his brother. Apparently the owner and contact person was in a mountain area for a funeral, we could not reach him there but his brother could on the first try, a bit suspicious. Once inside, the room was dirty and the sheets not clean. They told us they would clean it while we did the tour. While it was cleaner when we got back, the new sheets were still stained with glitter and looked like they did a quick wipe but not really clean. The breakfast we got was unsatisfactory, dry sandwich and a muffin. While this was sufficient when we visited the Horton plains and ate it on the way there, it is not a proper breakfast for a normal morning. We got a lot of apologies and excuses but in the end was not worth the price, we had better stays for a third of the money where they were equally friendly and helpful. We feel sorry for the brother and the father because they tried to make up for it, but in the end we were not happy with the hotel. For us it did not match the good reviews they have.

  Una estada genial

  Una familia encantadora y nos ayudaron en todo. Tuvimos un problema con otro hotel y tuvimos que coger este de un dia para otro y fue increible. Nelum es adorable, nos pusieron una habitación preciosa, con mucho detalle y olia perfecto. El desayuno inmejorable, tenia de todo. El baño adecuado. Nos acompañaron al centro y nos explicaron las cosas más destacadas. No puedo estar más contenta y se lo recomiendo a mis padres que viajan ahora. Pedimos una manta extra porque en la zona hace frio. Nos pusieron un conductor Chandra para llegar desde Kandy, ya que no iba el tren. El mejor conductor, nos explico todo con mucho detalle.

  Da wir die einzigen Gäste waren, hatten wir das Haus für uns. Es war sehr ruhig. Die Gastgeber haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert. Das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr gut. Ranishka und seine Frau Nelum versuchen, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Wir hatten ein Abendessen, wo wir beim Kochen mithelfen konnten. Mit Ranishka machten wir eine Tour zu einem Wasserfall und eine Teefabrikbesichtigung. Mit seinem Bruder unternahmen wir einen Ausflug auf die Horton Plains.
