A/C is insufficient, and owner doesn't care

we booked 6 days here around new years. our arrival day was super hot and the A/C could not remotely cool the place down, so we message owner .... we say: "Air Conditioning here cannot cool down the apartment! we will not be able to sleep here" owner: "There is a heat wave. The ac was recently installed. It has the size to cover the place. But with this temperatures it can happen anywhere" so we checked into hotel instead for the first night (where A/C was great, as you'd expect) and returned next day when outside heat has dropped to 25 .... but still it was way too hot for sleeping owner: "What you could do is sleep in the sofa bed downstairs, you can make it a double bed by opening it." firstly that's not what i paid for, and also it's the least comfortable couch i've ever even sat on so we're not going to sleep there. we leave keys and depart for good. he refused to give us anything refund and insists he should keep all the money, even the cleaning fee! (note also a week ahead of arrival while we are travelling he messaged requiring full payment in advance by paypal instead of by credit card on booking.com as the listing says, so we had to scramble to get it done, and it left us no recourse to them when this all happened) if you think he is reasonable and we don't deserve any refund at all, then feel free to book here. after several dozens of rentals worldwide this is the absolute worst experience for us

  No tuvimos ningún problema.
