    Adequate Lodging that is Not Quite a Hotel

    The Ambassador Residence was adequate for our needs. It's certainly not a hotel in terms of the feel of the property—which is quiet with not many people around—or in terms of the room itself. It's basically a very sparsely furnished apartment with one (!) towel and some toiletries. One must be very independent in attitude to stay. Still, it was large and functional and attractive enough.

    There is no reception to speak of, just a desk with a contact number for security. Check in consists in having that security person hand over a key.

    Try a little harder!

    Large apartment, everything working, helpful front desk staff, of which some spoke English. Good wardrobes, bedroom separated from living room by a hallway, toilet separate from bathroom.

    There are zero amenities/ consumables there except one roll of toilet paper and hotel size shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. No laundry tab, no kitchen paper, no dish liquid or sponge in the kitchen, not one coffee spoonful or tea. There was no warm water in the last 24 hours The AC is VERY lame. We would have returned had it been better. Alas, canceled reservation, going to a better place.
