    Loved our stay in a castle!

    The property lived up to our expectations. It was great. They also provided a room move when we asked as we were originally put close to the building renovation works. The room in the castle walls was excellent. Recommend not staying in the gate house until the building works are complete.

    They are doing renovations to the castle walls. Whilst this is to be expected for this very old building, it would have been nice to have been told to advise on room selection. Also, the service at breakfast was slow. They need more staff.

    Run down and shabby interior threadbare carpet on main stairway Poor room cleaning and turndown If you wanted la carte you had to eat in the lounge on low tables Some of the staff were unfriendly
