Windy Portstewart
Anchorage is conveniently situated with car parking just across the road. It has been refurbished & is very nicely decorated. The food was quite good with plenty of choice for both breakfast & dinner.
Our room was at the front with a view out to main street. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good with rain & blustery showers most of or 2 day stay , which meant we spent more time in our room than normal. The room was very cold & we actually had to get into bed to keep warm . There was no way to adjust the heating. We mentioned it to a member of staff & he said he would look at it but it was still the same. Very cold & uncomfortable. Also the duvet was far too small for the size of bed which was unacceptable.

Cold reception, cold shower
The bed was comfortable and decor in the room was bright and contemporary.
Firstly there was nobody to book me in when I arrived. There were waiters in the restaurant who saw me waiting but I was left standing until I went into the bar to asked to be booked in. There was a bad smell in the hall leading up to the guest rooms. I was booked into a bedroom looking onto the Main St. Obviously not the fault of the accommodation but motorbikes and boy racers could clearly be heard revving engines but an extra layer on the window would help. The shower was cold.
