Would be great to have a code access if you arrive late or locker for keys, so not having to pay extra charges

Historical charm, convenient, spacious. Washing machine.
The Roman well and exposed stonework enhance the feel of living in the old city and its history back to Roman times. We arrived at Como station hours early and the lad with the keys was contactable, communicative and accommodating. He met us after a bit of waiting, before the formal check in time, thank you. I liked the high ceilings, the very wide window sills, the washing machine and the quiet. There is a supermarket a few doors along. The adjacent small café was OK for our first meal. There is a hotel that does a quality buffet breakfast and welcomes walk ins, around the corner a block away. The apartment was a fair hike from the train station with luggage but an OK distance to walk. You enter through a small door in the big double doors off the laneway to an internal courtyard. Watch you don't hit your head. The apartment is the first door on the right. The young lad who met us explained the keys, locks and doors well. It is a bit of a fort knox.
This is not anything the property can control - a lot of people smoke in Como. The narrow laneways, crowds and still air means the smoking stink is often with you when getting about. Within the apartment the smoke did not penetrate. Fortunately the laneway the apartment is on is a quieter, less used laneway. Before we arrived, we thought of Europe as being more advanced, but on smoking, Europe is backward - they even allow smoking at outdoor cafes - can you believe it? So unhealthy! Como is crowded. I accepted I was booking a ground floor unit as a trade-off for the history. But be aware this means partially frosted windows to the street and no views.

Beautiful apartment. Nicely equipped and a cold bottle of Prosecco waiting for us!!! Fantastic. Mario was incredibly helpful and always there when we needed.
That we were not allowed in the courtyard (aka carpark) AT ALL... Even tho we needed to enter the apartment via the courtyard....we were not allowed to be in it .. so could not even enjoy being outside at all, not even to pet the cat!! The neighbours don't seem to like the Airbnb!!!

Le mauvais temps sur kes 2 derniers jours ce qui n à rien avoir avec l hébergement Ce qui nous a pas empêche de visiter les belles villes côtières pleines de charme
