  Perfection to truly relax

  The Casale (farmhouse) is perfect in so many ways that words cannot describe. Andrea got in contact to align on check-in and with details on how to reach and so forth and from that moment on it was evident that we made the right choice of place to stay while in Siracusa. The check-in was smooth and friendly, the staff awesome and the location and the house just perfect. The perfect place that you can truly winddown and relax whether that being pre or post breakfast, during afternoon or before going out for the evenings. The pool area is extremely calming and the sound of birds and pool puts you in a trance. Needless to say we didn't want to leave! The breakfast is just perfect, the bedrooms are amazing and bonus with the memory foam pillows and mattress ensuring that your night is as restful as remotely possible. We also had a terrace where we could enjoy a bottle of wine in the evenings. All in all this met our full expectations and beyond. Its one of those places that when you see it from the street you immediately want to be there. A truly typical Sicilian casale. Its tough having to part from the property but sadly our trip was too short - note for next time. Andrea has created a true sanctuary and it is the epitome of what relaxation is. The house is also fairly close to Ortigia, Noto, San Lorenzo beaches and the surrounding vinyards all with a short drive away.

  This is a lovely quiet property with excellent staff. We did not have a car unlike most who stay here. Instead we caught the 10:00 am number 126 red bus for 1.50 euro each (5 min walk) and returned either by bus (2:45pm OR 3:15pm depending on the day) or a taxi ranging between 30 - 40 euros. The return bus is not at the main bus/train station but if you walk along Corso Umberto away from Ortigia until you reach the park you will find it. The days we returned early, we had a substantial lunch in Syracuse, with fruit/snacks in the evening which worked for us. So it is possible to not have a car within these boundaries. The bus was great and the drivers really helpful. The walk to the bus from the property is along a fairly quiet road with the space to step onto the boundary with passing traffic. In the property there was a nice seating area outside the room with other seating areas around the property. Breakfast was continental and knowing this we did bring our own muesli, but the rest of the food was lovely: croissants, cheese, meats, boiled eggs, yoghurts etc. The bed was very comfortable. Andrea was super helpful - nothing was too much trouble for him which made our stay so pleasant and relaxing. Great staff who also were super helpful! Thank you all.

  Un lugar precioso con dos aspectos importantes que mejorar

  Las instalaciones son muy bonitas y están muy cuidadas. Es una casa restaurada, amplia y con mucho encanto. Lo mejor, sin duda, es la piscina: preciosa, con hidromasaje y chorros, en un entorno muy agradable. Las habitaciones son amplias y hay una pequeña zona común donde tomar café, té o agua. La limpieza fue impecable. Es necesario disponer de coche, pero está a unos 15 minutos de Siracusa y cuenta con aparcamiento dentro de la propiedad, por lo que resulta muy cómodo.

  El desayuno necesita mejorar muchísimo. La variedad y la cantidad son extremadamente escasas: huevos cocidos, croissants, pan de muy baja calidad y una cantidad mínima de queso y embutido que, además, no se reponía. El primer día ni siquiera había un croissant por persona. Es una pena porque se sirve en un entorno precioso entre olivos y, con mejoras muy sencillas, podría ser fantástico. También nos sorprendió mucho que una noche, al volver de cenar sobre las 00:00, los propietarios estuvieran celebrando una fiesta privada con varios amigos en la piscina. Aunque fueron amables, ocupaban un espacio común que queríamos utilizar y continuaron haciendo ruido pasada la 1:00. En un alojamiento de este tipo nos pareció totalmente inapropiado y nos hizo sentir incómodos utilizando las instalaciones.
