Zwei Mal denken bevor buchen !

Disappointing stay—dirty, unsafe, and misrepresented.
Location
While this apartment is in a great location and has a quirky layout, it was a major disappointment and ruined our comfort during our trip to Rome. The cleanliness was unacceptable. The apartment was incredibly dusty, which severely inflamed our allergies. One bathroom had a dirty bath and the showerhead above the bath was broken and completely fell off. The second bathroom shower had an active ant infestation in the shower. On top of that, the air conditioning leaked, leaving a pool of water on the floor. The listing was also misleading. It advertised a second bed, but it was actually just a pull-out sofa bed on the open-plan mezzanine floor. Furthermore, the apartment is full of steps and trip hazards—I would absolutely not recommend this as a safe place for anyone traveling with children. When I contacted the owner, he apologized and promised cleaners. The first day, the cleaners allegedly left because they thought we were inside (we weren't) and simply left us a can of Raid. They supposedly came back the next day, but we saw no improvement—it was still dirty. After long days of walking and sightseeing, you want a comfortable place to relax. This was not it. We couldn't wait to leave.

Too Many Inconveniences for a Comfortable Stay
The location is superb, a stone throw to the Vatican - this is the reason we picked this apartment.
Even though we read about the apartment being basement level and having many stairs and levels, we could only truly understand the degree of it after checking in. If you are looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay, I do not recommend this apartment. Dehumidifier and AC running day and night and it's still smelly and damp. If you can stomach constantly worrying how to lower humidity and not break a leg - then you will be fine.
